Beastmen Jabberslythe

Beastmen Jabberslythe

In the Armies: Beastmen book Jabberslythes are described to be horrific monsters with features from several different beasts from insectoids to reptilians. They have long tongues and secrete poison. I believe I have captured the imagry pretty well with my conversion choices.

This is a Beastmen Jabberslythe I converted using 100% Games Workshop products! The base is a Dark Elf Dragon. The legs and spider legs from O&G Spider Riders. Scything Talons and the Carnifex head are from Tyranids. There was also green stuff used to fill in gaps.

Also, the neck-head join has some issues. It seems to be at an odd angle, and the putty work leaves a lot to be desired. It covers up some of the scales on the neck in a very unnatural fashion, and I think I see a fingerprint.

My intention was to sell on this on Ebay. That is why I choose to prime it and not fully paint it.

I agree with Conefed. Feelers, extra mouth parts, skin flaps around the head... something to make it not look so discernible. I thought this was a conversion for a fex too, until I read what you were going for. Rated lower because I don't consider primer a tabletop quality mini, but it could be a 7 for idea alone.

The head needs more conversion work because the head is too strikingly Tyranid. A crest, frills, heck even a multitude of eyes - it is a mutant after all, can break up that distinctive shape.
